You are maliciously ascribing to Christianity outmoded attitudes that were routine and common place in ancient societies and demeaning attitudes to women that are still prevalent in Muslim societies today but not in Christian societies. St Paul lived in that environment but he was not a misogynist; he enjoined that Christian husbands respected and loved their wives.

You do not know enough about the treatment doled out by Islamist states to all “infidel” religions in obedience to the Koran. Restrain yourself until you learn, please.

I am not trying to impress you by my thinking.

I am trying to counter the anti-Catholic sentiments in your comments, the misleading picture you try to paint about what Christianity is all about by your insinuations and your misinterpretation of the New Testament as whole by quoting isolated sentences out of the context to the rest of the N.T. bible My comments are directed to innocents who may be deceived by your comments.

The theoretical right to freedom of worship throughout Europe is outrageously denied by an infiltrating non-European ISIS and its murderous violence that is our actual frequent experience.

I thought the discussion was on Sharia and not on whether the law in secular states in countries like Turkey safeguard democracy and human rights.

Then again, if you want to go there, perhaps Roman Catholic Malta could teach a lesson or two in democracy/security to countries like Turkey. Well, perahaps not.

The Moslem priesthood (and their general attitude towards all women) is a much worse "men only" affair Those who do know "a little about Islam" would know all about that Moslem chauvinistic attitude towards the fair sex..

As frequently happens you are joining ranks with those who impute to me views that I do not hold and that I resent in others.

I am NOT proposing that Malta trims the right to freedom of worship. I am proposing that all countries introduce the freedom of choice of one’s religion and the right to freedom from cruel punishments both freedoms notoriously absent from the Holy Koran and in Islamic states.

I am NOT in favour that rogue religions who have no respect for the democratic freedom of worship be provided with support and a platform in Malta from which to spread THEIR suppression of freedom of worship and the freedom from cruel punishments.
