Some of these so-called smugglers barely know how to read and write. They’re backed and organised by people who know how to do a lot more than that. The people with the boats are the runners.

You should wonder how certain people have ended up owning Ferraris, offices in Portomaso, and have a lifestyle where even their shoe-laces are probably branded.

Next time you fill up your car have a look at the stickers on the pumps.

There might be another supplier with storage, though – the ex Mediterranean Oil Bunkering tanks in Marsa (Spencer Hill). The supplier is still new to this business in Malta but the operator is an old hand – just remember the case of the famous four who were supplying Enemalta.

Has anyone looked into who backs it? Has anyone sought to find out who the legal advisor of some of these people is? Maybe a short ball shaped guy. Stop dreaming and thinking that such a huge amount is being unloaded or pumped within Maltese ports. It will take days of pumping and won’t go unnoticed. There is only one manner it can be done and is not inside the port area. The authorities will not ever clamp down on the ones getting it in. They are too big to be clamped down on.
