Holland died of cancer while still in office, in his 60s I believe, and Sant died in the early 1990s, while still in his 50s.

He is on record stating that he will not serve more than two terms and retire from politics. One takes this to mean that if he wins the October 2017 election he will not contest the 2023 election, presumably stepping down in 2022 to allow his successor (presumably Konrad, if he doesn’t ‘retire’ before) to run an electoral campaign.

He will be 48. On what income will he live? In which country? Will it have an extradition treaty with Malta?
