What an awful man. What does he mean “at his level”? The gutter? He is no professional but a foul-mouthed, angry, self-obsessed individual who is throwing his weight about because of who he knows. Have you got anything to say, Ramona Frendo?

He brags about being successful, so pray why come back to this tiny rock which is the desert of film-making? The truth is he has only done anything which at best can be called third-rate. Whoever gets impressed with his IMDB profile (where he is listed as plain old Mario) is off the mark. Quantity is no measure of quality.

His link to Vella Bonnici is more than just a family one. Together they own at least two film companies: Cittadella Films Malta limited – C61201 registered in 2013 and 2More Films Ltd C66760 registered in 2014.

Both companies are registered at 290 Main Str., Zebbug, uncannily close to the address used by Gavin Gulia as his official residence for voting purposes (291 Main Str Zebbug) when he himself lives in Marsascala.

The Malta Government launched the first ever co-production fund in Malta to the tune of eur1million. The recipient of the fund is widely known to be Mario Philip ( or was it Cittadella Films?) though I could find no reference to the beneficiary on the Malta Film Commision’s website or anywhere else. If this is true I suppose this was Joseph’s thank you with our money to Mario Philip for the electoral videos he made to bring him to power. Not to mention all the monies he gets to do his theatrical productions.

Go back to Canada Mr Azzopardi – please.

Daphne, you have, as always, hit the nail squarely on the head. I have intimated as much elsewhere too. I don’t think he’s right in the head. To be charitable I’d say he needs medication. However I suspect that it goes deeper than that. There’s so much rage and contempt in the man. His drinking problem doesn’t help either, I’m sure.
