Franco Debono knew from day 1 he was wrong because at the very same time he was going around telling all and sundry that Joseph Muscat was an incompetent fellow student who got into St Aloysius only because of the ‘influence’ his father brought to bear on the Jesuits.

That was a spiteful vote against Ugo Mifsud Bonnici’s remarks about Franco Debono’s thesis; it had nothng to do with his son Carmelo.

This is no conversion on the way to Damascus.

Or crash because Franco Denono’s calling you for the zillionth time.

SO WHAT? This guy just doesn’t stop spewing bullshit out of his mouth, does he?

If those 2065 voters less 3 found themselves in the same situation, they would vote differently.

And yet, here we are, enjoying the fruit of their decisions and his, even though the voters’ were all in good faith, while his were all deliberate out of unfettered ambition, spite and jealousy.

Obscurity is not a comfortable place for attention seekers like this guy, and every now and then he’ll find a way or another to keep reminding us of his spite.

I’m a forgetful person, and I find it a good thing to be reminded that a man can be so spiteful that he’s willing to trade the future of his own country.

Expect him to do or say something “newsworthy” again in a couple of weeks.

My only wish is that the party gets hold of the longest bargepole they can lay their hands on and keep it handy.

Yes I agree. A mistake is when you’re distracted while driving and take a wrong turn.

Those aren’t mistakes. They’re deliberate decisions, which may or may not be regretted afterwards, depending on the consequences.
