The newspaper has to write to the Speaker, then the Speaker writes back. Then the Speaker writes to the Commissioner for Revenue. Then the Commissioner for Revenue replies, enclosing the minister’s tax returns. Then the Speaker writes to the newspaper editor and informs him that the tax returns are being made available. Then the newspaper editor sends a journalist to parliament to view the tax returns which cannot be photographed.

It is almost definite that the prime minister is in with the other two villains. He supported the secrecy of the contracts and he is defending them.

The Leader of the Opposition has given Muscat and his motly crew a day to act. In his communication the Leader of the Opposition stated that if Muscat does not act he will taken any necessary actions to give a voice to the people against this unacceptable and shady behaviour.

The Opposition would be up in arms, people would demand resignations, press would be hounding them. Here it was barely mentioned, the press has forgotten this scandal in a day. It is just waiting for the next one to crop up. How disappointing.
