I am sure the day Joseph Muscat loses will be the day he dies. But Labour won’t die. And hopefully they will simply warm the benches in parliament.

That last line is how I see it. Labour delegates have the one choice tomorrow to avoid it, but they won’t because Labour is essentially corrupt in mind and spirit.

Blood will spill because promise of short-term gain will have blinded them as to how Muscat already has them rounded up in a pen.This time the start to the purge will be internal, but only when it’s too late for them anyway.

In reply to Jack Bean. Labour has a legitimacy that the Nationalist Party hasn't, because it is an ostensibly socialist party, and the national narrative is one of struggle against the evil imperialist foreigners, i.e. the rich.

But that is exactly the point. In such a small country as ours ideology doesn’t really make sense. Both major parties acknowledge each other’s contribution towards the ‘common good’. However, Labour (read Mintoff) has invented this “ruħ socjali” as a propaganda advantage over the PN.

When Labour is in a tight corner they will flash their “ruħ socjali” in your face, expecting you to think and act as they want you to. This ruħ socjali takes the form of Louis Grech’s allusion to the distinction (or lack of it?) between Capital and Labour/social justice, and Toni Abela’s reference to the party’s ‘collective memory’ in the above clip.
