You are correct but for one small 10%. The 90% do not matter. They do not understand the situation or do not care to understand it either way they will always vote PN or PL. But the 10% that do thats a very different story.

Those people are shocked by the brazen arrogance. However the tactic used by those two schemers is good I have to say. They used a big bang approach to launch the news figuring that the shock is better forgotten with time than letting others manipulate how the news is released.

Keep in mind these two schemers are economists and an economists knows that the first thing to do to solve a problem is to develop a strategy.

It will not matter anyhow. The damage done with that 10% I feel is so deep it wipes away any sin the previous administration may have been seen to have committed. I am curious to know the result of a poll right now. Would be very interesting. My only question is will it be in Dr Busuttil’s interest to actually win the next election? Reminds of the situation Dr Fenech Adami found himself in 98.

I agree. Most people do not understand the implications, and accept that politicians, like rich people, are bound to have access to complex financial solutions to avoid tax.

Gaffarena started exactly like that: expropriations, house in Valletta, land, etc. The surname helped as well. But persistent journalistic work kept it alive and people started to understand. The Opposition also did its part with its request for an inquiry.

This one is only a grand total of two days old; persistent journalism can and should explain what a secret shell company is, what Panama stands for, that a secret shell company in Panama can only be worth someone’s while if they want to launder millions through it, and that Konrad Mizzi opened the secret shell company after the general election.

The name here is Konrad Mizzi – the topmost cabinet minister. Joseph Muscat cannot jettison his buddy as he jettisoned Michael Falzon. And thousands work in the financial services industry and know exactly what this means, and its significance. Information will trickle downwards given time.

It follows Sai might well know of the transaction details in the Panama company which would mean she still has a leverage on Mizzi and probably also Muscat. If the premium for silence is stopped on termination of her contract, it would surely take some other form.
