He has mental problems, Spock. Unfortunately, my whole life I have been a magnet for men with mental problems who fixate, but apparently it’s not unusual with women in the public eye. It’s just that I’ve been in the public eye since I was in my early 20s, so I don’t even know what normality is or what life is like without tripping up over a mad male obsessive every time I turn round. Think about it – without mentioning names – and you’ll see just how many men in this category I’ve got bitching at my heels. And it’s amazing how they are mainly all of a type.

That’s typical of the fact that they think anyone can do any job (just look at the appointments they’ve made, including the latest magistrates and Toni Abela at the European Court of Auditors).

They truly can’t understand what a lot of factors come to bear in producing something like this – that it is the product of the person and the person is the product of a lifetime’s development.
