He does expect that. besingfield’s great tragedy is that he thinks he’s smart when he got where he is because of political expedienxy not principle or merit.
But that’s true of the PL generally.

I’m pretty sure that a good number of the people who use pseudonyms on this blog (and elsewhere) are public servants.

On the one hand they feel that they should express certain views only in private, so using an obvious nom-de-plume masks their identity without trying to pretend that they are a real person.

Moreover, most public servants (and others) fear retribution under a Labour administration and do not believe that the PM’s glib reference to freedom of expression, that provides cover for Glenn Bedingfield, would be extended to them. Plain and simple.

And Bedingfield does what he does quite badly. He’s not persuading anyone that Labour is better than the PN, quite the contrary in fact, and he cannot seriously expect his targets to be put off just because he badmouths them.
