It’s another one of Joseph Muscat’s nods to Cultural Marxism. Another pointless law.

Who, in 2016, watches pornography in cinemas? Do they think it’s the 1970s? Even in the 1980s, VHS killed off the porn theatres. Then came DVD, and it was about to kill off VHS. But it coincided with internet, and that, in the end, killed off everything.

So let’s huff and puff and legislate on something that no longer exists, just to please friend Bartolone.

We should ban movies too then, because they idealise life and the idea of a happy ending, which is patently false for a good number of people.

Addiction to anything is bad, not just pornography. The focus on pornography comes from the Catholic, puritanical streak of Malta against sex, and the shame thus associated with it, which is not at all healthy.

Anyway, we should work against the objectification of other people in every aspect, not just when it comes to sex. Not that pornography objectifies women, it’s all in the mind of the viewer, it seems to me.

Not that I disagree that pornography shouldn’t be shown in public, but you give all the wrong arguments.

Most people’s memory is short. Labour took full advantage of this fact. Those who are older than 40 have no excuse and must be slow learners. A political party in government is not a dish you try out and send back if you don’t like. But people though they would try the ‘movement’ and the new ‘young’ leader without asking questions and without using their brain.

One would think that people would not trust a salesman from a company with notoriously bad service and who makes promises like there is no tomorrow. But people did.
