I do recall those leaflets and in fact I wasn’t sure if it was Alfred Sant or somebody else the reason why I refrained from pointing that out. He was very wise in figuring out how to gain votes by riding on the coattails of Alfred Sant.

Still it doesn’t take away the fact that he didn’t want to contest the 1996 election because he didn’t believe Alfred Sant would have made it and above that, his argument was that he didn’t want to be elected in the opposition seat.

Delusions of grandeur had already set in.

In reply to jacks. If I'm not mistaken that's Antonio Tufigno. If it is him, he was studying law like Cardona (maybe not in the same year). One was cool when he was young and the other was an old man in his twenties and is now having a mid life crisis.

My guess is that the human genome has been degenerating for a long time. It’s what you get when you make a copy of a copy of a copy, with an accumulation of mutations that may, or may not, serve well in the adaptation process, but that generate absolutely nothing that is genetically superior.

Alternatively, there could be another process at work: see what a nice geek our Chris used to be, and just look at him now.
