Is that the case in your area of work? Do they not give you work out as a form of bullying? If you are being sidelined and excluded from performing any tasks then I do not see anything wrong with engaging in hobbies etc during working hours. But if there is work to do it would be unacceptable to engage in work not related specifically to your tasks and responsibilities in your role as a public servant. I expect public servants to do just that, serve the public. On their time they can do whatever they like.

No, I’m not wrong at all. Civil servants in my grade can fully participate in political life. The only restriction I have is that I cannot comment about my Department and rightly so.

Moreover I am also authorised to work part-time as a journalist after I applied for permission through the proper channels according to the rules.

I also have a Department of Information press card issued by the government in which it is specified that while using it I represent the Nationalist Party media.

Do you ever “attack” the children of the other Labour MPs or ministers? No. Why? Because they are not constantly in our faces.

Hell, we don’t even know how many kids Konrad Mizzi has, their gender, and their ages and names. We wouldn’t know if he was married and what his wife looked like, if she wasn’t getting €13,326 a month from our taxes.
