Underdog, my foot. An underdog is someone who is unfairly suffering because their qualities are undervalued or unappreciated, or because people irrationally dislike them. If people dislike you because of your own wrong actions, you’re not an underdog, you’re a failure.

This from someone who accepted the leadership role when it was evident to anyone not politically naive that a Labour win was inevitable.
