Regina and I just read and keep up with what is going on in Malta. And from what I am reading, there are more crooks in Malta than the ones that stole our life savings.

Reading all this makes me want to cry. To think that I, as a pensioner holder of the pink card (karta roza) used to be given a few bits of food, some spaghetti, etc, by the parish priest, donated by the E.U., and now that the service has been taken over by the Social Services this little spaghetti has stopped being given to the “karta roza” holders. Why?

If the EU donates this food what is happening to the surplus? Or is it that the government has told the EU to reduce the amount given…out of spite to us pensioners?
