Oh for heaven’s sake. Their lives are more stressed, you say? I suppose you’ve never had the stress of making ends meet and getting to the end of the month, with no prospect either of career advancement, home ownership, cohabitation, family, offspring and all the rest of it.

I’d rather be stupid and rich than smart and poor. In fact I’m stupid, because I never got rich. So I’d the worst of both worlds.

Being a practising Catholic of the sort you are, Reuben, has everything to do with it. It means the mind is shaped in a certain way. The reason I am not a practising Catholic of the sort you are is that my mind is shaped differently. It doesn’t allow me to be that way, even if I wanted to, which I do not.

I agree that Schembri (and Mizzi) appear to be up to no good but, going on the information we (i.e. everyone else who is not you) have so far, is any legal action possible? This is a genuine query. Had I been in their shoes, I'd only have kept my wits about me if a) I had done nothing wrong or b) I were absolutely sure it is impossible to nail me.
