Please do go on. I find the comments on poverty very interesting. I have always considered myself poor. That is how I remember my childhood, and that is how I have come to define myself. I’m not whether you’re saying that the poor are more gullible. I find the opposite to be true. We’ve been done over so many times that we trust no one.

That goes without saying.

One way or another, those 15,000 or 50,000 or 40,000+ new Maltese citizens (who’s counting?) will be allowed to vote. “Residence” can mean anything in Maltese electoral law, and these people are residents because the sale of passports law requires them to be residents, therefore if they have been declared residents by the highly corrupt Identity Malta, then they must be residents. Q.E.D.

That will offset some of the votes lost from the de-switchers. A few thousand more votes will come from a mass regularisation and the granting of Maltese citizenship to the hundreds, or thousands, or tens of thousands (who the hell knows?) of Chinese currently squirrelled away in various factories, restaurants and massage parlours.

The rest will come from brain-dead voters, AFM and Police members voting twice, a few pre-filled ballots slipped into the perspex boxes, and a few more in the counting hall, duplicate voting documents and all the rest of the tricks learned from our Azerbaijani and Libyan friends (gosh, whatever happened to them?).

AND DON’T ANY OF YOU COME TELLING ME THAT I’M BEING UNREALISTIC. REMEMBER WHEN I USED TO WRITE ABOUT SHIV NAIR, GAS AND OIL, CENTRAL ASIA, LIBYA, SECRET TREATIES AND MURKY NETWORKS?
