Simply disgusting. No wonder the PM wanted to keep the list of foreigners purchasing Maltese passports secret. I wonder what due diligence Henley & Partners did on Lalit Modi. The plot thickens and gets dirtier.

The British Virgin Islands jurisdiction IS as secretive as Panama. The only difference is that it has signed a treaty with the European Union and offers those who have companies in BVI a choice: 1. total anonymity and no release of details, BUT they will tax you 35% at source and send 75% of that (anonymously) to your EU state; or 2. you will not be taxed at source but they will send your details to your member state.

Of course, most people choose 35% tax and total secrecy.
