So much for the ‘weirdest’ press release issued by the Department of Information yesterday. This implies that not only Lalit Modi, but also his son, submitted an IIP application but that it was finalised and a Maltese passport was issued.

Any due diligence exercise would have evidently identified Lalit Modi as being a ‘fugitive’ from prosecution in India for money laundering.
