I’m with Mr Baxxter on this. Conjoining the army with the police reminds me of the dreadful ‘Colonel’ Cachia who, in those dreadful Labour times, was appointed to command a ‘Task Force’ of both military and police personnel. This straight from his job in the police force ( with no military training), to make way for the Labour criminal Lawrence Pullicino.

Cachia infamously intervened in parliament during a speech by Opposition Leader E Fenech Adami.

In reply to Daphne Caruana Galizia. Yes, in Malta they are in the same Portfolio. In most developed countries such as Italy, UK, USA and many other countries, the Police and the Army are in different portfolios for obvious reasons.
