People need to be reminded that in the civilized and democratic world, prime ministers NEVER ask the police to investigate anything and if they are found to have done so, it's a resignation matter and a massive scandal.

A prime minister asking the police to investigate is the flipside of a prime minister asking the police NOT to investigate.

It seems that Muscat is pushing his cannon-fodder-soldier-friends over the ramparts to try to feed them to the media dogs and the citizens shouting 'justice' and who are trying to breach Muscat's city walls.

This morning we were regaled with the resignation of Philip Rizzo, and the police raiding the offices of Muscat's kitchen manufacturing friend over the unfortunate death of one of the employees.

Japanese leaders used to fall on their own swords when they made a mistake. Muscat strikes his soldiers with his own sword instead, coward.

A few days ago you spoke about good character and it struck me because it reminded me of the way I was taught to read people instinctively.

First of all, a good character does not go into intricate excuses when his behaviour has offended; he apologises and tries to make amends by retreating.

On the other hand, the crooked man starts explaining his actions away in long obtuse information which takes you off at a tangent, adding gratuitious self-recommendation like "I'm a straight sort of guy, you know" and the crooked man never ever apologises because he sees that as defeat and discovery.
