The same applies to reporting and settlement of VAT collected by the company/trading entity. There is also the due reporting of annual cmpany tax returns, settlement of provisional and final company tax, company annual returns and applicable fees, etc.

Moreover, if a father does not pay his estranged wife the monthly child/children and her maintenance allowance, he is arraigned in court and even in certain circumstances, imprisoned, until such dues are settled; whether or not that father has sufficient income to lead a decent life and settle his child/children allowance.

Criminal proceedings commence and directors are arraigned if a company does
not abide by the law. The directors/trader can be fined and even set to prison for committing these CRIMES.

The above examples are NOT “… just settle a fine, and may your god bless you…” hence these acts are considered to be criminal by their nature.

The simple fact that the Minister set up a shell company in Panama and subsequently held by a trust in New Zealand is criminal, if it is not reported to the Maltese authorities.

Here I am limiting myself to the setup of the Panama company and the trust. I am not referring to any form of income/earnings that might accrue to the company, whether earned from known and/or unknown sources, whether or not the company holds assets and/or liabilities.

If income is derived from obscure sources, then the activity can be simply defined as CRIMINAL. These FACTS have been duly highlighted by Ms. Daphne Caruana Galizia, but it seems that nobody is considering the implications of what the Minister did.

I cannot comprehend how in Malta, the two weights two measures principle always prevails.

I also find it hard to believe that there was this simple setup, (i.e. just one a company and a trust) and the probability, or rather assurance, is that there is more layering of structures to conceal the Panama company and I await the news in earnest.

The company in Panama and the trust in New Zealand were set up months ago.
