In reply to Anthony T Mamo. That is what he said to the Budgetary Committee. He also said that he had severed his political links two months ago when Konrad Mizzi was declared deputy leader elect just over a month ago. And note that Toni Abrla has not resigned his post yet. In line with the Labour Party's concept, he was trying to lie his way through.

It could be that Chris Cardona is planning a leadership challenge, hence his recent higher profile and direct challenges to Simon Busutill. He would prefer to have Toni as his no.2 if this is the case.

Toni Abela will not resign before the full extent of Panamagate is exposed. He knows that he still stands a chance of having a say within the Labour Party if he does not resign and the events get worse for Konrad and Joseph Muscat. He will stick to his guns.
