When Ministers have syndromes and illnesses they are OBLIGED to disclose them to the public.

Beppe Fenech Adami is not a member of the government, but the deputy leader of the Opposition. When he was diagnosed with cancer, he gave a complete and detailed account to the public, on diagnosis, when he was due to be operated on, and after the operation. Matters like this should not be concealed from the public who vote for you. It is dishonest.

In Konrad Mizzi’s case, it is even more dishonest because his syndrome is one which impacts DIRECTLY on thought patterns and behaviour – and as we have seen the result can be disastrous.

Asperger’s is not a ‘medical condition’ but a syndrome. And it is directly relevant to the matter at issue because it explains Mizzi’s immediately obvious strange reactions under pressure and the ease with which he is being manipulated by the Prime Minister and Keith Schembri.

The Minister’s ability/inability to run the Ministry with its all responsibilities is being questioned.

Whether the Minister’s secretive action of holding a trust in New Zealand which in turn owns a company in Panama is the crux of the political scandal; and thus his actions might be deemed to jeopardise his position to hold office.
