It’s a last resort bid to try and excuse corrupt actions by those who should have known better. Martin Scicluna has a view now as to how badly everything will crumble and why.

The main part of the article is that it is due to stupidity and not to malice. He’d like the reader to think it’s just Joseph Muscat and the Panamagate “trio” he’s talking about. But we do know whose son he’s talking about. And it wasn’t stupidity.

The more fanatical we are about our political parties, the more the unscrupulous leaders within them will take advantage of our blind support and naïveté.

Jonathan Shaw’s fanaticism overcompensates for his doubt. The facts are clear. The deputy leader, Konrad Mizzi, fessed up that he has a secret corporation in Panama. He did so after Daphne Caruana Galizia pulled off his public persona mask.

His personal assets don’t justify the money laundering mechanism he set up. With a PhD tagged to his name, an imbecile he is not. But greedy he is.

Dr. Mizzi never shied away from judging others and yelling at them like a madman with words of condemnation. Now that the tables have turned, he can’t look himself in the mirror when the facts are staring him in the face. The irony is captured in the attached illustration.

The sole reason why companies are registered in Panama is exactly so that there is never solid proof of criminal wrong-doing. Martin Scicluna takes us all for decrepit cretins like him.
