I agree with you, Daphne, but Konrad Mizzi reminds me of Johnny English. The Prime Minister and his chief of staff are spiteful and abuse of others who have some kind of vulnerability, like Mizzi who has Asperger Syndrome.

He might act like a naive and a fool, but as they might have found out by now, he can a very dangerous fool at that and he can be talkative and give away their “game” when cornered or under pressure. He blurts things out.

He can also have bad tantrums too, like Dr ‘Frankie’ Debono. So they have no choice but to keep him close. And he can even play the victim as we saw from his speech on Thursday, where he passed the buck to the Prime Minister. So making him resign is not an option.

Keith Schembri used them both – his friend Muscat and their stooge Mizzi – but his roadmap plans went haywire too early because of the leaks that led to the Panama Papers. No one could have ever envisaged this would happen.

Mrs Mizzi and her children are in a completely different situation to the wives you mention. They are the ones who left. And her husband’s job is not six weeks on and three off.

Except that her husband is the head of the energy enterprise and can’t believe how he has won “el Gordo” through the complicity of the Prime Minister and those immediately around him.

Neither can Mrs. Mizzi believe how impotent we all are in the face of the daylight robbery of our pension pots, healthcare budgets and other scarce and precious resources.
