You miss the detail of the way the feet are pointing. Manspreading typically manifests itself with feet pointing straight on or outwards.

Inward pointing feet are more bad news:

”Even if you’re sitting up straight with your shoulders aligned and your head up—all signs of an open body position—your feet may be betraying you. If they’re cocked inward, big toe to big toe, this indicates that you’re closing yourself off because you feel awkward or insecure.”

In reply to Daphne Caruana Galizia. True, but in fairness many families saved every penny to pay for a decent education for their children because they wanted them to be better than they were. Obviously this did not always work. In my day you couldn't get away with hair that was one centimetre over your collar, skewed ties, hands in pockets or slumped posture. And this was in the late 70s/early 80s not the inter-war years.

This man cannot possibly be an Old Aloysian, or standards must have slipped considerably, by the time Joseph Muscat (and that other embarrassment Franco Debono) was at school there.

The minute I saw this, I immediately imagined a cohort of Jesuits barking, “sit up properly, boy!”.
