Scams of the sort don’t rely on credibility. They rely on stamina in the game. They are relying on the press to forget the issue; for it to become passé. For a new scandal to take hold; for enough critics to come round again through renegotiation.

This is the part where the investors get screwed once again. It’s a race to the bottom with only the conman gaining along the way.

These people have been running scams for decades. Other people’s reputations and career plans – in this case the whole country’s – is of no issue to them whatsoever.

It’s a time-bomb. When enough people are against it will go off. Until then, they figure they’re home dry.

Seems to me from this interview and from other footage of his speech in Parliament that Muscat was under the influence of some sort of tranquiliser.

His speech was slower than usual and I seem to have noticed some peculiar mannerisms.

He is simply searching frantically for a hole to escape through. But there are no escape routes at all for him.

The only shield he has is the ‘merhla’ who would follow him even if he were to borrow that axe from Chris Cardona and hack them down one by one – politically speaking, of course.
