Call it what it is: protection money, not donations. As for “it has always been this way with these low life scum”, the same can be said for those who gave them money “because they felt they might be prejudiced if ever the Labour Party came to power”.

Those who give money in these situations are just as bad, just as immoral, as those who demand it. This is a fact which Maltese people refuse to digest, because those who give money as protection for themselves seek to justify it.
