Point taken. I did not need the photo to believe you. You would need to be mad to say that the PM is in a hotel when he is not.

On the other hand the photo and title of the post gave me the impression they were aimed at discussing Mrs Muscat’s taste in clothes not as proof that the story is real.

So a photo was necessary to stop the Labour trolls accusing me of lying when I reported there were at that particular hotel. In fact, the photo is so important that it has been shared almost 10,000 times on Facebook already via this website alone – far more than the post in which I reported they were staying at the Atlantis the Palm Hotel in Dubai. People in Malta prefer pictures to words.

The photo reinforced the story about the PM’s holiday and the issue of who paid for this holiday so it made sense to be posted but you cannot then say that this photo was necessary or that whoever took it was obliged to do so to expose some wrongdoing.

I absolutely cannot stand the way Maltese men of a certain generation always feel they are in a position to give advice to women on the basis that they are men and the women are women, even if it is the women who are the professionals, and not they.

I’m sorry, but the reason we should be shocked is not because he is a person of integrity and wouldn’t have sent the photos. On the contrary, a person of integrity WOULD HAVE sent the photos.

The reason we should be shocked is because a key aide to the Prime Minister is launching assaults on people in this manner.
