I am a septuagenarian and I can vouch for the hard work put in by Nationalist governments, and by my colleagues in the financial services sector, to build solid and professional foundations at a time when the manufacturing industry was showing signs of decline to the detriment of the economy.

This was also a time when the student population was increasing at a fast rate and job opportunities had to be created to give them a career future.

Now that these targets have been reached and have to be safeguarded, our irresponsible Prime Minister together with his corrupt government and persons of trust are doing their egoistic utmost to destroy it all at the expense of turning themselves into priviledged members of the millionaires/billionaires club.

At a time when the Prime Minister boasts of anti-corruption measures and the Whistleblower Act, the Police and other investigative Institutions have been subdued from carrying out their Constitutional duty by the same Prime Minister and his corrupt colleagues operating from the mafia-style headquarters in the Auberge de Castille.

Thank you Pandora for sharing what you are going through and I sympathise with your predicament. I am not involved in the financial sector and so I did not realise the extent of the damage that is being caused. It is important that people who are being hard hit by Malta’s loss of reputation speak out.

For this nightmare to end, there needs to be Labour politicians who take action to put an end to this corruption.

A very close relative of mine who works in this sector said practically the same thing just two days ago.
We’re sinking fast thanks to Muscat and his criminal gang and their cronies. It is of paramount importance that the owners, directors and employees of financial investment firms stand up and tell Muscat were to go. We will be behind them.

So here’s my question: if the banks/financial sector are feeling the pressure and the pain are these same banks/financial sector putting pressure on the PM or are they giving new meaning to the term compliance?
