Joseph Muscat makes a meal of his image, to the point of taking the video cameras in with him to the gym, therefore it is legitimate to comment on his physique.

He also disappeared for a couple of months in the summer before the general election and then re-emerged with the circular scar-line of a scalp-lift (failed) clearly visible under certain stage lighting. So yes, it is legitimate to comment on his scalp issues, because he made them an issue himself (like Sant and his wig).

It is not legitimate to comment about Deborah Schembri’s weight because she has not made it an issue herself. She has not talked about her diet and she has not invited us into the gym to see her work out. Her weight is therefore not an issue.

All these comments about her weight are from men. Not one is from a woman. Men, however, never comment about the appearance of other men.

Not to stick up for men but I hate inconsistencies. In your posts you have targeted Joseph Muscat’s weight fluctuations and hair situation a number of times rather than sticking to the point, his poor performance. Not too mention manuel mallia’s spending habits and exterior form. So your sensitivity in this case seems to be biased.

I think the point men are trying to make is seeking VIP treatment to walk less may be a symptom of crass laziness which will not be helping her to remain fit. If one is unwilling to walk a few metres to run daily chores obesity will naturally follow oneself!

I stand to be corrected, however the divorce debate started at the opposition benches. Daphne wrote a series of posts where she explained that anyone could put up the proposal for discussion by presenting a private member’s bill.

Knowing that Dr Gonzi was not comfortable with such a bill, JPO took the lead out of spite as he wanted to inflict as much harm to that administration as possible.

She recognised it in promoting the divorce movement, then the LGBTXYZ lobby, and rest assured she would promote abortion if she was not afraid of the backlash.
