In reply to Daphne Caruana Galizia. Not only hamalli but maledukati and unprofessional. Last Friday the Chinese Cultural Centre celebrated the Chinese New Year with a reception at a hotel in Floriana. Noddy made an entrance with his girlfriend, forty minutes late, interrupting the Chinese ambassador's speech. As if this was not rude enough, he interrupted an introduction to answer a text message on his phone. The ambassador was speechless. It was embarrassing to all those who had to watch.

Why should she? Joseph Muscat has openly embraced high ranking PEPs who have set up companies, trusts and bank accounts in questionable jurisdictions post their taking office. In so doing he has actually set the bar for the rest of us. And this not only in the financial sector. Maltese standards are in freefall.

I’ll be careful what to say to that woman. After her dismal attempt to prove her journalistic prowess during the press conference with the leader of the Opposition, she might take ‘PEP’ as an acquired credit and append it her name as if some personal qualification.

Ex wife? She’s still his wife. They are separated, not divorced. I find it fascinating how, because Malta never had divorce, people can’t get their heads round the fact that you’re not an ex wife or ex husband until the divorce documents actually come through. Until then, you’re still married.
