I’ll be fascinated to find out whether he plans to ask the court to rule on whether the members of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists are not journalists at all, because they don’t have a press card from the Department of Information at the Office of the Prime Minister in Malta, and they work mainly on the internet.

Winning a libel suit on the basis of inadmissible evidence is not going to win their battle in the court of public opinion.

“Magistrate’s court in Malta declares Panama Papers inadmissible, therefore they must be false”

I think they are going to try to have the Panama Papers declared inadmissible in a Maltese court under Maltese law on the basis that there are doubts as to the authorship and source of the documents which would be detrimental to their right to cross examination. Their position would be strengthened considerably if successful.
