Well, I’m afraid these things are not a matter of choice. If you’re going to use a saying, then use it correctly and idiomatically: it’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing, not a wolf in sheep’s skin. Sheep’s skin is not correct English, whether used in that context or not. ‘Sheepskin’ – one word – is used only when it has been cut off the sheep and tanned.

I’ve given up listening to the news ever since I’ve taken up to reading your blog. Your website seems to be the only one giving us the true picture of things, be it Labour or Nationalist.

Journalists of your calibre should be encouraged by both sides. This is the one and only way to a real democratic mentality. You do sterling investigative work for your country, leaving you with pretty little free time for yourself and your family, I am sure.

I think we are speaking at cross purposes here. That was not a criticism of Ganado Advocates’ direct order from Konrad Mizzi.

I am merely pointing out that they can’t work for Konrad Mizzi and also work for the organisation that Konrad Mizzi is suing. People are accustomed to compartmentalising these conflicts in Malta, or somehow justifying them, because the place is so small. But to any onlooker it’s very weird – rather like having the President of the Law Reform Commission battling to keep drug-dealers and thieves out of prison.

This is the crux of Labour’s democratic deficit. They will have come a long way when they understand this most basic requirement of political life.
