It really is extremely bizarre that any public figure, let alone the spouse of the head of state, would have a Facebook page chock full of the kind of inanities a dull-witted teenager would have. Is it so difficult to cultivate a sense of gravitas appropriate to one's position? Malta is becoming weirder every day.

I find it very disturbing that in this age of social media so many people have no clue that over sharing on Facebook is inappropriate. There are certain boundaries that shouldn’t be crossed and certain topics that don’t need to be discussed.

The husband of Malta’s head of state should know better and exhibit some decorum. Facebook is not an appropriate venue to share your health problems. Some things should be private.
