The Labour parliamentary group is broken and divided. They, Prime Minister included, all know it as do most ordinary people including Labour supporters.

Yet they still choose to pretend to be united in front of the Opposition and the public.

This is not doing them any good and more importantly it is doing a lot of harm to the country.

They can’t go on attempting to justify major scandals like Panama Papers and Gaffarena by saying that other than that things are all hunky dory.

The Finance Minister Edward Scicluna is an intelligent man, a professor who lectures at the university. He of all people should know that the short and long term effects of Panama Papers are harmful to the country and will by far outweigh any good the government has done has has perceived to have done.

Whether his seat is in the national parliament or the European Parliament is, at this stage, almost irrelevant. The real problem is that the seats were won on the Labour Party ticket. He should save himself and his reputation by getting out of there.
