Of course it will take seven years. About two years moving to and fro between Brussels and Strasbourg, four more years pointless debates, and a year holiday in between.

It is the EU membership that is keeping the United Kingdom together. Once Britain is out, the countries forming the United Kingdom will go their separate ways.

In reply to Daphne Caruana Galizia. Given the demise and sale of most UK manufacturers, JCB remains one of the proud survivors. With a turnover of 2.5 billon and employing 6500, it can hardly be called a lightweight. And it remains family owned. Its owner's (a Tory Lord) letter to his employees makes insightful reading.
