The factory location was ideal to export the vehicles to the EU. Sunderland voted overwhelmingly to leave. Nissan will probably shift most works to just across the channel. They didn’t say so directly during the campaign but hinted that a ‘remain’ vote would be preferable for the factory’s future.

National parliaments are able to object to proposed EU legislation. Do you know how many time the Maltese Parliament has given its input? You’ve probably guessed. Never.

The issue is there is information and there are democratic controls. But national governments don’t use the former and citizens really couldn’t be bothered to obtain the latter. They are mainly interested in hyping up issues like the EU’s supposed interference in the size of bananas.

Too late now. Nigel Farage said to “vote with your heart, soul and pride” – not your mind.

But the EU dictators should get down from the clouds within the stars and listen to the people as the people are fed up with certain decisions that are being made somewhere called Brussels.

Also people are fed up with Brussels politicians and employees earning mega bugs while the real hard working workers barely earn a living.

They have accumulated enough EU funds now to go spend them and the rest of their days playing golf on Trump’s Turnberry course.
