Wrong. I said that they are not pro-Labour so much as anti-Nationalist. If you are not from my part of Sliema and from my generation or the previous one, you will have no idea what I mean.

Post-war Sliema, especially the parish in which I lived, was a colony of Strickland supporters. The anti-Nationalist sentiment survived long after the Strickland Party dissolved into oblivion. Those people, lack of self-awareness and insight being a really big thing in Malta, will be completely unaware of the origins of their anti-Nationalist sentiment, but that’s where it comes from: imbued over the generations.

Of course, I should be a big example of that, but fortunately, my family are more sensible.

Ha! Now you say “They are not pro-Labour” when you have spent years making out that Astrid Vella is pro Labour. From what we are seeing, Astrid Vella AND HER COLLEAGUES are simply anti-abuse, and we know that although it’s exploded now, there was plenty of that under PN. You are a hypocrite as now you expect people to speak out against Labour abuse but attacked anyone who opened their mouths under PN.

The thing you need to note is that the Labour government’s first Republic Day honours list was just a list of people who’d served the interests of the Labour Party, intentionally or not, or colluded with it.

Examine it again, if you will. It might not have been immediately apparent to you back then.

The verb is in the wrong place, though.
