Think of Hungary. The EU is a tired behemoth, and our size makes us just not worth upsetting the cosy applecart.

If it is as you mention ‘tails between legs’ then Muscat and his cohorts have won the game of silencing the free press. If that is the case, the only source of opposition left would be the social media.
