Karl, another thing they don’t realise is that as Maltese they are foreigners in the UK. Those who voted to leave the EU did so to be able, among other things, to regulate and reduce the number of incoming foreigners, including Maltese.

I think most Maltese who are happy with the referendum result are Labour supporters who were brainwashed against the EU by Sant and Muscat and have been unable to get their heads around the abrupt fact that the EU has now become ‘A Good Thing’.

Very similar to what Greek PM did. He promised to remove austerity and austerity got much worse.

Muscat promised to remove corruption and he is leading the most corrupt governments in Malta’s history. And he will promise something siimilar come next election to cling to power, as now he is definitely short of ideas.
