I believe it’s more convoluted than that. I didn’t ever believe that it was all about the 54,000 euros offered to him.

To my mind there must be more hidden beneath the surface that still has to emerge and its origin is much earlier than 2013.

People seem to have forgotten that Dr Jean Pierre Farrugia of Floriana (former Nationalist MP) turned down the Labour offer to him, declaring that he would remain loyal to those who had voted for him. Thank God there are still some people of integrity.

I distinctly remember how toned-down the once incisive Lou Bondi had become in the run-up to the general elections. I used to watch his performance on Bondi+ and say to myself “Why is he so tame with Labour? There are so many holes in what they are saying”.

I cannot prove it but I would put money on the mise en scene at your home on the eve of the election being stage managed. Lou Bondi’s true colours have well and truly been aired – and they only prove what we all suspected deep down.
