Now Spain can use the pretext of GB’s departure to close the border and stiff arm Gibraltarians to review their desire to remain an integrated dominion of the UK. Border controls will make the daily commute of native Gibraltarians and the Spanish workers into Gib a nightmare.

They will be forced to join Spain and lose their ties with the mother country. What this could eventually mean would be the loss of British say in the control of the Straits and a high level of a financially strapped Spain to levy a toll on the 110000 ships that pass through there every year.
