So it’s Joe Bannister at the Malta Financial Services Authority, Chris Cardona as Economy Minister, and now Alfred Mifsud as governor of the Central Bank of Malta.

I wonder who can produce the best CV in the current circumstances?

It is only (retired Police Commissioner) Michael Cassar who can say why he took no action and did not even call Alfred Mifsud for questioning. He is the one to whom the formal statement was given, and who took it down.

But then he has not even answered questions as to why he retired from his post of Police Commissioner, which he had coveted for so long, after just a year when he was faced with the prospect of investigating government corruption.

What I mean was that I find it incredible… Hard to believe “why” they did not investigate, as in almost impossible to justify lack of action.
I suppose my comment was open to the wrong interpretation, but I hope this explanation brings clarifies my intention.

Why do you find it hard to believe? For God’s sake, look at all that has been going on, and at the fact that Michael Cassar preferred to resign from the Police Commissioner post he coveted rather than investigate the current corruption.
