I no longer think that their parents use them as marketing tools. It has become increasingly apparent that Mrs Muscat is working overtime to give them what she thinks of as an exciting life, doing all the things she dreamed of when she was a child herself. Yes, it’s hopelessly misguided, but I truly believe that’s her motivation. She wants them to be princesses for 10 years, thinking that this will somehow be good for them.
