You are also very wrong in your presumptions but I don't have to justify to you or anyone else why I voted to Leave. But you are right about one thing; I did not vote to expel Muslims as my daughter in law and grandchildren are Muslims. See what I mean?

I hate to be brutal, but the reason you don’t care is that you have reached the end of your life.

At that age, words like travel, studying, research and opportunities are just that – words. Your outlook is circumscribed by time as well as by other reasons.

The most you might care about is how the economic fall-out will affect your house price, your pension and the NHS – and then who will you blame for that.

Also, your vote was not a vote to expel Muslims, so you are going to be a little disappointed about that.

The flipside of that particular coin, if you wish to go down that route, is that they now have another 500 million people in the rest of Europe who are gearing up to tell them to b*gger off.

I most certainly don’t always get it right, but you have to admit that I did on both those issues: the 2013 general election and Muscat and his gang of thieves, and the fact that the British should have voted to remain in the EU. Neither of those was difficult to assess, but then I’ve never been one to move with the crowd and I never dismiss expert opinion as ‘elitist’. On the contrary, I seek it out.

As for sucking it up, I suppose we will all have to do that, Brits included, but saying that “Brussels can’t wait to get rid of us” is like blaming Brussels for the ‘Made in England’ mess.

That’s not quite cricket. What Brussels can’t wait for is Britain going for divorce and at the same time planning to stay in for as long as it feels like… and expecting to be given the key to an open market, to boot.

If “out is out” the Brits should be true to their word and deal with the EU market as outsiders.

Ain’t going to happen. Brexit won and although the result is non-binding, any government which doesn’t go ahead with it would be committing political suicide.

Say the Stay campaign won. The Leave supporters could use the same argument of being misled, lied to and whatever and demand a second referendum.

I think the only way to confirm things is for David Cameron to ask the Queen to dissolve Parliament as soon as possible and call a General Election. I don’t know how it would work or if would even work. Its not like Malta in 2003 with Labour saying NO to join the E.U and PN campaigning for YES.

Whatever, I really do hope that Britain will remain in the E.U.

There is shock, disbelief and great upset in Britain because so many people think through their arse, rather than their head. How else do you explain someone voting to leave because he thinks his vote doesn’t count and then saying his shocked that the leave vote won? Or someone who stays home because it’s raining? What do they do on working days in a country that rains most of the year? Fuckwits, the lot of them. Everyone else is shocked that anyone could be so stupid.
