The Times of Malta reports: “According to police sources, a can was found inside the car, indicating arson.” The key words “inside the car” have been ticking in my mind. Why would an arsonist leave a can inside the car unless he smashed the windows first, making a fracas in the process and drawing attention? The Stable Bar was too noisy maybe, or the spirits were too high already.

In reply to Pappagallu. Oh I doubt it. I don't imagine that either the Economy Minister or his chief of staff have any particular interest in exposing the reason for the car being set on fire. This is just an educated guess.
