And it is so ironic that when Sant became PM in 1996, the first thing he did do was freeze our application for EU membership.

People like Sant and Muscat and Boris and Farage do not think long term, and if you follow them blindly you will always end up worse than when you started.

Have read somewhere that he stated yesterday that there is no rush to start the exit negotiations. So giving over £300 million to EU does not seem such a bad thing after all.
