I can say that all my colleagues in Scotland are reeling in disbelief and shock at the outcome. A slap in the face for all.

This is going to result in lack of free movement for all within the UK, especially after Scotland gains independence which is now a matter of when not if. and border controls will have to be set up across the Irish borders to control entry of EU immigrants via that route.

The University of Glasgow has also issued a statement to say that all EU students are valued because the feeling is that there are racist/far right undertones to all this.

“I voted to leave because I didn’t think my vote mattered. I didn’t think that Leave would win. Now I’m very worried about the instability that will follow. Yes, I’m really worried.”

THAT MAN SOUNDS JUST LIKE A MALTESE SWITCHER.

One thing which impressed me right after it was clear that Leave was going to win was that MPs who had campaigned for Leave were suddenly saying that no, David Cameron, could not ask for the application of Article 50 of the Treaty (the article which regulated leaving the European Union) immediately.

They said that first the UK had to see that what it wanted and what needed to do and then launch the process. This was a far cry from what they said before the vote. It sounded as though they had suddenly understood the enormity of what they had done.

My reaction as an EU citizen would be that yes, this process needs to start immediately as the EU needs to be able to try to move on and regroup as soon as possible. If some of the leavers are regretting their decision, that is unfortunately their problem. Our problem is their decision not their regret for having taken it.
